VINEYARD SOURCING:

A special vineyard selection from vineyards in the Eden Valley and Krondorf regions of he Barossa.

WINE MAKING:

Fermentation with submerged cap in small stainless-steel fermenters. Some batches had up to 2 weeks on skins.

OAK MATURATION:

100% barrel matured for 20 months in 50% new fine grain French oak hogsheads (300 litre) and the balance 2 and 3 year-old barrels.

ALCOHOL: 14.5%

PH: 3.51

TOTAL ACID: 6.47g/l

RESIDUAL SUGAR: <3g/l

COLOUR: Intense purple - red.

NOSE: Perfumed dark berry notes with some savoury spice notes.

PALATE: Complex layered palate with rich mouth feel and texture.  Ample tannin to provide backbone structure, combined with excellent fruit depth and intensity. Cellaring potential 12+ years.
